The Art of Discourse

The Art of Discourse is an immersive, practice based session exploring how we show up in moments of tension, difference, and dialogue. Through a social media inspired game called “Keeping it Reel,” participants will step into the role of influencer, creating a 90 second, reel style reflection on a meaningful topic they feel called to explore by inviting different perspectives.

Together, we will practice the art of discourse as a somatic and communal experience slowing down, listening deeply, and engaging one another through clarifying questions, embodied awareness, and intentional pause. Rather than rushing to respond or defend, we will root into curiosity, making space to uncover shared understanding and co-create a vision that centers inner sovereignty and collective liberation. This workshop asks “How do we stay in right relationship when it’s hard?” and invites us to reimagine disagreement as an opportunity for connection, partnership, and kinship.

A recording will be available for everyone who registers, so you can engage with the material and practice at your own pace again and again, and/or if you cannot attend live.

The Art of Discourse is set on a name-your-price scale, with a minimum of $22. If you have the capacity to offer more, we invite you to do so. Your contribution sustains the operations of the school, compensates the educators, and opens up access for folks in our community.
